The Tan Hoong Garden Collection

For fans of exotic flowers, it doesnt get much more exciting than Singapores National Orchid Garden. One part, the tropical Montane Orchidetum, simulates the experience of climbing through a tropical forest, showcasing the diversity of plants, especially orchids, that thrive at each elevation. One orchid genus, Oncidium, is especially pleasing; it includes varieties called the dancing lady orchid and golden shower orchid.

Our homage to this Asian garden is the Tan Hoong arrangement, a boisterous display of deep red flowers sprouting from a white-on-blue square vase. This plant will never shrivel or die, as the whole thing, from root to flower, is hand-crafted of silk fabric.
